Railway Raid patch notes: 4/24/2018

-Gameplay

  • Win and lose states
    • If the player’s base reaches zero hit points the player loses, but if the player defeats all the attacking enemies the player wins.
  • Re-coupling cars
    • Players can re-couple train cars by running into them with the front or back of the train.
  • Multiple train engine types
    • Player can now choose from 3 train engine types with different passive abilities(extra support cars, faster speed, and can attack enemies).
  • Finalized support car types
    • Added anti-air car and fixed anti-personnel car.
  • New Level
    • Added “nota beach’ as a playable area in the level selection screen.

-General

  • Added remaining enemy models.
  • Updated artwork the pregame screen.

-UI

  • Updated level selection menu artwork
    • Added missing bits of the level selection map.
  • Moved mini map
    • Moved mini map on players HUD from the right side to the left side.
  • Enemy movement notifications
    • Screen on player’s HUD updates with enemy spawn locations.

-Fixed from last build

  • Anti-personnel car does nothing
    • Anti-personnel targets and eliminates enemy soldiers that come into range now.
  • Base not taking damage
    • Base takes damage from enemies that reach it.
  • Awkward turning
    • Pivot points on the train have been altered so it looks better when rounding corners.
  • No level selected
    • Woodland level is set as default for selection.
  • Awkward turret tracking
    • Turrets no longer snap/morph when tracking enemies.
  • No limit to camera zoom
    • Limit applied to camera zoom in/zoom out.
  • No collision/recoupling train cars
    • Decoupled train cars can be re-coupled by running into them(still doesn’t register collision on occasion)

-Known Issues

  • Drifting/floating enemies
    • Enemies moving down paths rotate awkwardly or are floating. This is a minor issue with the FBX’s and will be fixed in the next build.
  • Broken planes
    • Enemy planes don’t do damage to the base and cannot be destroyed.
  • Assault train doesn’t attack enemies
    • The turrets on the train aren’t properly coded so they are inert.
  • Missing textures
    • Enemy soldiers and planes are missing there textures
  • Broken train switch
    • One of the train switches on the snowfield level doesn’t work.
  • Broken win state
    • Win screen doesn’t appear even if all enemies are defeated.
  • Return to main menu broken
    • Return to main menu button on the pause screen still breaks the build upon use.
