Captain's Log: Sprint 4 Review (3/8/19 - 3/29/19)
This sprint was a bit lackluster in terms of content and progress as compared to some others maybe, but we still cleared some very important hurdles.
For one thing, we got the rig finalized! And while it still might have a few quirks, we've decided it is "good enough" and are deciding to move forward with creating all of our character animations with it!
We've also got the entire town blocked-out, and all the modular pieces we will need to build it, with maybe the exception of some props we will come back and do in the future.
We finished concept art with the art pieces for our carpenter, grocer, and town hall so now my artists are able to focus on creating other 2D and UI related elements!
We've also got random spawnning and pathing for the NPC's in the outside world, included a save system, and redid the tavern interior pieces.
Currently, the game loop we are currently playing with is a bit.. quirky at best. So we've decided we are going to shift our focus from creating the outside world to fixing what we have, and making the current game more fun, engaging, and polished. So stay tuned!
