Version 1.1.0, Entoworks Overclocked!


With the game's formal development wrapped up, The build felt good, in a certain sense. the core aesthetic of strategy was there and the game was functional. The game also was tedious as heck to play. The main issue was the game's speed. it took a long time to move a unit, or attack. I saw a handful of easy fixes I could make to speed up the gameplay. I gave myself about week in the project,  adding some other polish and bug fixes as well.

Changes:

  • Unit Move animations sped up drastically
  • Attack range fix
  • Attack and Move preview polish
  • Small AI tweaks
  • Saving system for level progress
  • Level select polish
  • Projectile animation polish (now shoots in a straight line)
  • Grid overlay  now renders on top of water properly
  • Pause Menu
  • A handful of other small polishes, tweaks, and optimizations
